HI, I’M JULIE

Trauma survivor, gut health advocate, body + soul healer, fierce entrepreneur, and passion instigator.

I was raised close to the land in rural Appalachia, in a family where life, death, and the unseen were not separate.

From an early age, I understood the body as something to listen to—not control.
That awareness shaped everything that followed.

My path has been anything but linear.

I’ve studied the body and its healing for nearly three decades—first through hands-on clinical work as a trained mortician in college to becoming a licensed bodyworker, then through yoga therapy and deep immersion in traditional lineages including Ashtanga, Anusara, and Tantra. Meditation has been my path for 28 years.

Along the way, I’ve lived through what many women quietly carry—
complex trauma, profound loss, and the long process of rebuilding a life from the inside out.

Including my own experience with scoliosis, autoimmune, estrangement, and starting over more than once after divorce and navigating entrepreneurship.

These weren’t detours.

They were initiations.

Because what I came to understand—through both practice and lived experience—is this:

True healing doesn’t come from pushing harder or knowing more.
It comes from restoring relationship with the body, the nervous system, and the deeper rhythms that govern how we live, love, and lead.

My work now is devoted to women in midlife who are ready for that level of return—

Women who have achieved, endured, and evolved…
but know there is a deeper embodiment, clarity, and sovereignty available to them.

Julie is the creator of Seasonal Somatics™ and host of The Thriving Scapegoat.

Her work integrates trauma recovery, nervous system regulation, and the intelligence of natural cycles to support women in reclaiming their voice, restoring their vitality, and living with deep, embodied sovereignty.
