Perhaps you've spent a lifetime keeping the peace, silencing your instincts, questioning your worth, or shrinking yourself to belong. Perhaps the strategies that once helped you survive are now the very patterns keeping you disconnected from yourself.

And perhaps, as you move through perimenopause or menopause, your body is no longer willing to cooperate with the life you've outgrown.

You are not broken. You may be ready for a different way of being.

Seasonal Somatics: Reclaiming Feminine Sovereignty in Midlife invites you to explore the relationship between your nervous system, your lived experiences, and the natural rhythms of change.

Drawing on the wisdom of the natural world, embodied practices, and the cyclical nature of healing, this book offers a new way to understand your patterns, honor your seasons, and reconnect with the woman beneath the conditioning.

You don't have to keep abandoning yourself to belong.

You can learn to come home to yourself.

What if midlife isn't asking you to become someone new, but inviting you to return to the woman you've spent a lifetime learning to hide?

For the woman who has spent years being everything to everyone else.
For the woman who learned to anticipate other people's needs before acknowledging her own.
For the woman who has become so capable, accommodating, and self-reliant that she's forgotten what it feels like to be supported, fully expressed, and truly alive.

WHAT IF HEALING WAS NEVER MEANT TO BE LINEAR?

Nature doesn't bloom all year.
There are seasons for rooting, growing, harvesting, releasing, and resting. Each has its own purpose. None is a mistake.
Yet so many of us have learned to override our natural rhythms—to push through exhaustion, perform through discomfort, and treat every period of uncertainty as something to fix.
We expect ourselves to be perpetually productive, endlessly resilient, and
constantly improving.
But healing doesn't happen in a straight line. We revisit old patterns. We encounter familiar wounds in new seasons of life. We discover that something we once understood intellectually requires a different kind of attention in the body.
The spiral offers another possibility.
Rather than treating every return to an old pattern as failure, we can learn to meet ourselves with greater awareness, compassion, and choice.

Seasonal Somatics™ is rooted in this understanding: we are living beings, not projects to be perfected.

Through the five-season spiral, nature becomes a teacher, ritual becomes a way to mark and honor change, and embodied practices offer opportunities to reconnect with ourselves as we move through life's transitions.

This isn't about forcing yourself to heal on a timeline.

It's about learning to work with your own rhythms instead of perpetually fighting them.

WHY MIDlife?
WHY NOW?

Midlife can bring a reckoning with the identities we've carried for decades.

Perimenopause and menopause may coincide with changes in energy, sleep, relationships, priorities, and our capacity to tolerate old patterns. What once felt manageable may become increasingly difficult to sustain.

People-pleasing. Hyper-independence. The relentless inner critic. The habit of minimizing your needs. The fear of disappointing others. The feeling that you must earn your place by being useful, agreeable, or endlessly capable.

For women whose histories include chronic stress, childhood adversity, or emotionally harmful relationships, these patterns may have developed as ways to navigate environments that didn't consistently offer safety, care, or connection.

Understanding these adaptations isn't about blaming yourself or reducing your life to your past.

It's about recognizing that the strategies you developed to survive don't have to dictate how you live forever.

Feminine sovereignty begins when you can listen to yourself, honor your boundaries, and make choices that reflect who you are—not simply who you've learned to be for everyone else

You can be compassionate without abandoning yourself.

You can be strong without doing everything alone.

You can belong without disappearing.

And you can enter a new season of life without having to become someone else to deserve it

MEET THE WOMAN
BEHIND THE MODALITY

For more than 25 years, I've worked at the intersection of the body, healing, movement, and personal transformation.

My work has been shaped by decades of teaching yoga, practicing bodywork, guiding retreats, and supporting people through profound transitions. It has also been shaped by my own experiences of adversity, estrangement, reinvention, and the long process of learning to trust myself.

I know what it means to become capable of surviving almost anything while struggling to feel fully at home in yourself.

I know the cost of being the outsider, of questioning the roles you've been assigned, and of trying to find belonging without sacrificing your authenticity.

Seasonal Somatics™ emerged from the intersection of my lived experience, professional practice, and a deep relationship with the natural world.

I created this modality because I believe women deserve more than another set of expectations for how to heal, age, or become.

We deserve practices that honor our bodies, respect the complexity of our experiences, and make room for the cyclical nature of change.

This book is both the culmination of years of work and an invitation to continue that work together.

I wrote it for the women who are ready to stop shrinking, reclaim their voices, and discover what becomes possible when they no longer have to abandon themselves to belong.

If you've ever felt like the outsider in your own family, the scapegoat in your relationships, or the woman who is finally ready to live differently, I hope these pages help you feel a little less alone.

Author. Somatic practitioner. Creator of Seasonal Somatics™.

You were never meant to spend your whole life becoming acceptable to everyone else. There is another way to come home to yourself.

YOUR NEXT SEASON STARTS HERE

Whether you're navigating the transitions of midlife, questioning the identities you've outgrown, or longing for a deeper relationship with your body and your own inner knowing, this book is an invitation to begin.

Read it slowly. Return to the passages that meet you where you are. Let nature remind you that change takes time, that release can make room for renewal, and that you don't have to bloom in every season.

You are allowed to change.
You are allowed to rest.
You are allowed to take up space.
You are allowed to become.

Your next season begins with a return to yourself.
